The Shepherd’s Flock was an antagonistic faction in The King's Man.
Overview[]
Maximillian Morton had a great disdain for the monarchies and aristocracies of Europe and planned to destroy all of the dynasties. In order to accomplish his goals, he assembled a cabal of elite agents. Morton planned to start a large-scale war that would kill millions causing the common people to disdain royalty. To achieve this goal, he ordered Gavrilo Princip to kill Archduke Franz Ferdinand. After the Archduke's death, The Shepherd’s agents manipulated the rulers of Germany and Russia to declare war.
Morton had a particularly strong disdain for the English monarchy since England ruled over Scotland. This led to the shepherd ordering Rasputin to trick the Czar to exit the war so Germany would crush England.
Members of the flock wore rings engraved with images of animals as a symbol of membership. The ring contained a cyanide suicide capsule that the members were expected to take if they betrayed the group’s leader.
It is unknown if the group still exists during modern time.
